Our 2021 Alzheimer’s Research UK Fundraising
16-12-2021 News, The Team
Following our charity partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK we wanted to update you on all of the fundraising events our office staff have been taking part in to raise money for this cause. This charity is important to us for many reasons, one of which being that it ties in with our current development Cobnut Park, which is exclusively for over 55’s who require an element of care.
We raised almost £250 in the final half of 2021, in addition to our initial £2,000 company donation, and we have been planning more events for our office staff to get involved in to raise even more money and awareness for 2022. Details of how you can make your own donations can be found at the bottom of the article.
Christmas at Clarendon Homes
Our latest event was our Christmas Jumper/Fancy Dress Day.
Everyone in the office was dressed in a festive outfit, even the Grinch turned up!
Clarendon Bake Off
Our Clarendon Homes Bake Off involved two members of staff going head to head baking their favourite sweet or savoury treat. Each slice would cost £1 and after each person would give the bakers a score out of ten. The baker with the highest score at the end would win the competition and become the star baker at Clarendon Homes.
Below you can see all of the results for each week including the winner of the competition.
Courtney vs Chris was our First Bake Off for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Chris baked a Chocolate Guinness cake while Courtney baked some chocolate brownies.
Chris Came out on top, topping the leader board but not for very long!
Phil and Holly stepped up the Bake Off quality with their next bakes!
Holly came out on top with her amazing Halloween inspired Orange Gin Cake. However Phil’s cookies also scored highly leaving him in second place.
Katie our Accountant was up next against Krzysztof our customer service maestro.
Katie won this week with her tasty cheese and fruit scones with Krzysztof’s tasty cake taking the second place.
Next up was Alecia our Sales and Marketing Assistant and Luke our Architectural Assistant.
Alecia’s lovely White Chocolate Fudge Cake came out top that week, with Luke’s quiche in a close second.
Gareth vs Dave ended up in a close competition with Dave baking tasty chocolate brownies.
However, Gareth scored the highest with his fantastic sausage rolls and cheese and onion pastries, topping our leader board with one Bake Off left!
The final Clarendon Bake Off was between Daniele and Suzanne. Daniele created a festive Chocolate Bonanza Cake and Suzanne a Chocolate Orange Cake.
Daniele managed to narrowly beat Suzanne and was able to top the competition with an average of nearly 9.5/10.

Clarendon Quiz
We also ran a Clarendon Homes quiz with our director Steve winning!
We have so far raised an amazing £1,230 for Alzheimer’s Research UK and we hope to keep the fundraising up in the new year, to fund the incredible work that they do.
