Our Custom Build Journey

12-12-2023 Blog

Natalie, James and Ruby have recently moved into their completed custom-build home at our Langton Gardens development in Headcorn. The custom build process at Langton Gardens involved selecting your preferred plot and then working with our in-house Design team to create a layout which would not only suit your needs but also fit comfortably on the plot of land. The Sales team then guided buyers throughout the decision-making process for choosing the finishes and extras for the home. The process takes on average a year from reservation to physical completion.

We caught up with Natalie, James and Ruby a few weeks after they had moved in, and they reflected on their experience:

“We started our journey with Clarendon Homes in July 2022. With this being our first custom build home there was a lot for us to process. The team guided and supported us throughout. Gareth and his team have a wealth of knowledge and experience. They welcomed all questions and encouraged communication between ourselves and the team on site.

The Site Manager Miles worked with us from foundations to finish. Part of the experience for us was to watch our dream home being built. We were able to have a number of site visits where Miles always ensured our safety was paramount. His highly skilled team took time to work with us and explain features in the house so that we could make decisions. Alecia also ensured we made decisions on time to keep in line with the building time scales. Clarendon Homes have helped to make this a once in a life-time experience and for that we are truly grateful.”

Their custom-build home includes features such as bespoke wardrobes featuring pull out drawers, a log cabin for the garden to utilise as a home office, and a bespoke custom made kitchen. They added the finishing touches of glass stair rail and waterfall showers. They also wanted to celebrate this occasion and so during the construction process asked us to place a time capsule within their porch. This includes a photo of them outside their home while it was under construction, pennies from the year 2023, and other similar items.

We hope they will be very happy in their new home!
