Lifesaving Defibrillator Installed at Cobnut Park
09-12-2023 News
Earlier this year Clarendon Homes donated £500 to have a defibrillator fitted at our assisted retirement community, Cobnut Park. The defibrillator has now been successfully installed at the on-site Clubhouse. This communal building which is for residents’ use, is situated at the heart of the 24 retirement bungalows.
Our Customer Care Manager, Chris Hook, met with residents Val and George, once the defibrillator was installed. Chris said “The recently installed defibrillator outside the clubhouse at Cobnut Park is an invaluable asset for both residents and the wider community in Boughton Monchelsea. Whilst hoping it is never required, the availability of the device offers reassurance to residents, and Clarendon Homes gladly contributed towards its purchase.”
The award-winning Cobnut Park is an exclusive assisted living community of extra care retirement bungalows which we completed last year. Located within the picturesque village of Boughton Monchelsea, it combines the freedom of owning your home with the support of an on-site team and a vibrant community – enabling you to enjoy your retirement on your own terms.
Resident Val said “Myself and other residents felt it was essential that we had our own defibrillator on site as the only one available is some distance away. Also, as the NHS and the ambulance service are under such pressure, we felt the machine might help save a life. We are very grateful to Clarendon Homes for their contribution.”
