As we are getting ever closer to Christmas, we are highlighting five of the best Christmas activities available in Maidstone to get you and your family into the festive spirit. From the beautiful Christmas lights at Leeds Castle to Elf School – there is something for everyone!

Before delivering his presents around the world, Santa Claus and his elves will be in the Mall Maidstone to meet and greet children every day until Christmas! Entry to the Grotto is only £5 per child and includes a small gift – as long as your children have been good this year! At least £2 of every entry will also be donated to a local Maidstone charity.

Christmas at Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle is one of Kent’s most popular attractions and this is no different over Christmas! There are plenty of activities to centre a whole day around. A few highlights include the festive maze challenges, the Selfie Sleigh, festive activity books, and festive mini golf. This is in addition to the wonderful Christmas décor which Leeds Castle use over the festive period.

In Maidstone town centre at Fremlin Walk, Santa needs help to fulfil his Christmas quota! In this fun-filled and FREE Elf School, children get the opportunity to learn the elf toy making dance and practice present stacking in a fun and safe environment. The children who successfully graduate will also get to meet Santa, what a reward for helping him with all those presents!

Santa’s Giant Post Box

If you are running low on time during the festive season, you are certainly not alone. A quick activity which will mean the world to any boy or girl this Christmas is visiting Santa’s Giant Post Box, where you can get a personalised letter from the man himself! This can be found at Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre in Maidstone and is an opportunity for your children to send a letter to Santa, which he will make sure to reply to in between his busy Christmas schedule.
