Jubilee Celebrations and Fundraising
21-06-2022 Blog
At the beginning of June we celebrated The Queen becoming the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. Around the country people from all different backgrounds were celebrating. Street parties, garden parties and local fairs were a few of the many ways people enjoyed this memorable weekend.
Clarendon Homes sponsored a few events over the Jubilee weekend. Sandhurst is home to Miller’s Meadow, one of our upcoming developments. ‘Sandhurst Celebrates’ were hosting a Jubilee event and Clarendon Homes sponsored the inflatable assault course. It was a fabulous day which brought the whole community together. We also donated towards the Boughton Monchelsea village Jubilee event which was a very popular event – to see some photos follow this link.
We also held our own Jubilee office party to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. This involved a raffle, Jubilee quiz and lots of tasty snacks! The winner of our quiz was Dave our Buyer. The office was also decorated for the occasion with bunting, flags and we even wore colourful red, blue and white outfits. After this fundraising event we have so far raised over £770 for Alzheimer’s Research UK!
Congratulations and thank you to Her Majesty for her tremendous service to our country for the past 70 years. On the 12th June the Queen also became the second longest reigning monarch ever, how amazing!
